The Pittsburgh Schweitzer Fellows Program (PSFP) is proud to announce that it has qualified to be a part of The Pittsburgh Foundation's PittsburghGives Program Matching Day. This means that donations of $50 -$2,500 given to PSFP on Matching Day (October 28th) will be matched 50 cents on every dollar by the Pittsburgh Foundation! What a great way to make your gift go further! Matching Day Summary Sheet
Many non-profits in Pittsburgh will participate in this wonderful opportunity and the Pittsburgh Foundation predicts that all of their matching money will be taken within a couple of hours. But we are going to make it easy for you. There are two ways you can give on Matching Day.
OPTION 1
The best option for getting your donation matched! Let us do it for you! If you would like to make a gift to PSFP to be included in the PittsburghGives Matching Day Initiative, please fill out our Matching Day Partner form online using our secure web form. The PSFP staff will keep the information until Matching Day, Wednesday, October 28th. At the stroke of 10am, we will enter your information into the secured website and voila! Your donation will be matched by half! Only PSFP trusted employees will enter the information and we will shred the information provided immediately.
Because we will need your information to enter your gift, please return the completed form to us, using the enclosed envelope, as soon as possible and no later than Friday, October 23rd. Your credit card will not be charged until October 28th.

ABOUT PittsburghGives
The Pittsburgh Foundation’s PittsburghGives Initiative is a cutting-edge web-based system that collects and publishes comprehensive management, programmatic and financial information to compile a “portrait” of Pittsburgh’s non-profit agencies. The system was adapted from a project of the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation called DonorEdge. Additional cities that have launched similar efforts are Columbus, Ohio; Harrisburg, PA; Houston, Texas; San Diego, California and Nashville, Tennessee.
The online resource will officially launch in early September 2009 and will serve as a showcase of Pittsburgh's nonprofit organizations. Donors, volunteers, and community members alike will be granted access to "portraits" (information portals) of Western Pennsylvania's nonprofit organizations. Not only will supporters gain a greater understanding of a non-profit agency’s mission, vision, and programs, but donors will also benefit from the option to make their contributions online through the agency’s PittsburghGives portrait. The PSFP portrait can be found under Albert Schweitzer Fellowship, Inc. - Pittsburgh Schweitzer Fellows Program.
The goal of PittsburghGives to help donors be better informed. Each portrait contains vital facts and financial information about non-profit organizations in southwest PA. PittsburghGives creates awareness for our organization and helps develop relationships with potential donors.
The Pittsburgh Schweitzer Fellows Program is proud that we are included in the launching of PittsburghGives through its Matching Day, Wednesday, October 28, 2009.
